ABOUT US

Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. Studio is an independent, multi-disciplinary design studio that specialises in luxury Interior Architectural Design through storytelling, space, and materiality. The Studio was established in 2014 by Founder and Creative Director Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́. Tolù has always been involved with creativity and design: he comes from a family of fourth-generation textile designers, manufacturers, and wholesalers. In his youth, Tolù was mentored by the late Sir Terence Conran, founder of the Design Museum. He has worked in the luxury residential and commercial interior design sector for over fifteen years, holding several senior positions at renowned interior design firms such as David Collins Studio. Tolù is a proud member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and The Society of British and International Interior Designers (SBID).

The Studio specialises in architecture, interior design, and artistic direction. Our vision is to produce refined, luxurious, and classic interiors that will stand the test of time. We achieve this through a holistic approach to design, and by collaborating with artisans, craftsmen, and makers to create a unified, timeless, and globally contemporary aesthetic.

Whether we’re commissioned to design luxury interiors by private clients or international property developers, the Studio’s residential work is highly personalised and prioritises attention to detail.

The Studio is consistently exploring palettes of materials, colours, and moods. Everything —from form to finish— is chosen for a reason. Working closely with our clients to design their homes, we devote significant attention to telling an authentic story.

How would you describe your style?

Tolù does not have a set design style, nor does Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. Studio. When developing a concept, we weave together historic architecture with modern and contemporary design to create something new and unexpected. We layer a collection of decorative details with an array of textures and finishes from a variety of materials: from stones, plaster, and glass to leathers and woven textiles. The result? A design that is both timeless and eclectic. The Studio’s focus is on the quality of design rather than the style: thus, the process becomes more meaningful and enriching for both our clients and ourselves.

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

The Studio has recently refurbished a Victorian warehouse to a luxury penthouse in Chiswick, London, United Kingdom.

A high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail helms the interior design of the penthouse, taking you on a journey of comfort while creating a seamless flow that's light and spatially balanced.

The idea of modernism runs through every element of the penthouse: from design and architecture to finishes, furnishing, and even contemporary artworks. The end goal was to create a living space that's timeless, yet practical. To achieve this, the Studio commissioned and collaborated with artisans and expert craftspeople to deliver a bespoke design. From custom joinery, timber flooring, and marble surfaces to inviting leather touches and premium furnishing, every room draws visual interest.

The interior is dressed with a collection of Japanese and Chinese artwork. Most notable is Welcome Refugees by London-based Chinese artist Jacky Tsai. Tsai’s piece fuses traditional Eastern techniques and imagery with Western Pop Art references, creating an original style that harmonises the interior.

Lastly, the Studio layered a selection of vibrant luxurious fabrics: a harmony of soft velvets, mohair, embroidered jacquard, fine linens, and textured silks for a relaxed contrast and sophisticated interior.
